How long have you left it on the charger for? I've spent hours bringing an old watch back to life. Some mix of leaving it and periodically disconnecting it from the charger eventually worked.
The other thing I tried that seemed like it did something was sticking it in the fridge/freezer while charging, because it appeared to be overheating and no longer trying to charge.
Apple Watch folks: any trick to bringing a dead-on-arrival watch back to life?
Context: picked up a sealed-in-box Series 6 for a good price, knowing it has been sat for approx 3 years. Opened it up and no charge as you’d expect, but also doesn’t respond to being placed on a charger in any way, besides getting warm. Hard reset has done nothing and the folks at the store today didn’t want to even look at it as it’s beyond the two year statutory warranty period (despite never being activated).
So, anything I can do before returning it to the seller? Will get my money back no problem as it’s a reputable seller and I paid by PayPal, but would love to keep it if I can somehow wake it up - it’s destined to become e-waste otherwise and that sucks.
