Yeah, the 2018 race was properly grim.
Most courses are grim in December as the ground retains more water. The early season races usually avoid the thick mud unless we have a very wet summer. It's been very dry this autumn so I don't think Somerhill will cut up too much, even with the rain we've had the past few days.
I just remember the 2018 addition, in December, it was my first CX race and claimed my hanger, great fun but one of the muddier course I have done. Surprisingly so different last year (or was it the year before). Interested in how the conditions are this weekend.
