I had the same idea. I thought having the weight lower and smaller wheels was a good idea. At first I used a rack designed for 20" wheels. This sat the little one way too close to riders pedals. So switched to a normal rack and that was manageable bit still very tight/not ideal. I guess it's why all these long-tail kiddo carriers stretch out a bit.
Personally, I wouldn't want the twisting forces on a folder, but I know some on here have done it.
