Yeah I felt absolutely fucked over after spending money on one of those

They are shit, gluten is the best.

I don't understand why supermarket marketed-as-vegan pizza is so unbelievably shit.
I make a sourdough base with a rich marinara sauce myself, a few bits of mushroom, courgette, chopped chilli, drizzle of olive oil and that is accidentally vegan but fucking amazing.
It isn't hard to make a pizza. It does my nut in that vegan brands get it so wrong. Don't get me started on the fake burger shit.

I got a Merrell’s pair last year they are the most comfortable walking boots I’ve ever owned. But they fell apart after just one winter of walking the dog in the local park.
Very much need a decent walking boot recommendation.

Been happy with any shoes / boots I’ve bought from here. Would happily try their walking boots if I was in the market
Having said that they don’t seem to have much of anything in stock atm

There's some decent looking stuff on there actually, thanks!

The "chicken" calzone they do is pretty good imo

My girlfriend is vegan and coeliac so these pizzas being available pretty much everywhere has been an absolute gamechanger if we can't be bothered to cook.
(Related, it's unbelievable how shit most vegan places in the UK are at providing gluten-free options)

Yes! Vegan pizza isn't difficult; good base and sauce, and you almost don't need to do much more than that.

I use Lowa Innox goretex boots. https://www.uktactical.com/product/lowa-innox-pro-gtx-mid-tf-black-18407
Unfortunately paying £40 customs on top of the cost of £140 (from Berlin) I’ve had them all last winter and just used them again this week. All good.
I’ve had Adidas Terrex and Merrel boots before that both leaked. -

Oh these are the absolute worst

B Vitamin supplement question - does anyone know any science as to if it's better to take a couple of smaller doses a day to spread out absorption or does it not make enough difference and a single high strength table per day is good enough?

Looking forward to Sunday lunch.

Vitamin B is water soluble so you piss out it quite quickly. A lot of Vitamin B supplements come in a slow release variety so that it's absorbed slowly as the tablet digests over time, rather than dissolving immediately and disappearing the next time you go to the loo. That's probably similar to taking smaller doses throughout the day. This is all half remembered from when I worked at Holland and Barrett over a decade ago though!

I’ve just found a big bag of dehydrated TVP at the back of a cupboard with a best before date of November 2021. Reckon it’s still ok to eat or will it ruin my insides?

Shout out to the vegan roast at Orbit Brewery. Beautiful.

Even with the added 9 days since you posted I reckon this will be absolutely fine. Don’t waste it

I had let's say 'tummy troubles' from some out of date mince once. I would avoid.

I need some suggestions for somewhere for lunch tomorrow. Somewhere relatively central, not mega fancy, ideally close-ish to the Elizabeth line somewhere (but not too far west because that's a pain to get to). Needs to serve vegan and non vegan stuff and would ideally sell us a couple of beers. I'm meeting my non vegan cousin who works a lot in Japan/Korea/Thailand/Vietnam etc so looking to avoid that sort of thing to avoid disappointing him with a second rate, non authentic version of the stuff he eats regularly! The current, lazy thinking is Honest Burger in Soho or somewhere like that. Maybe a good Indian place?

Hoppers in Soho does loads of good vegan options. Sri Lankan food, so lots of coconut currys, idlis, dosa etc. As well as meat and beer.

That sounds ideal actually, thanks!

Chettinad on Percy street just off Tottenham Court road is ACE and meets these requirements! Not fancy, local place but great food:
Yeah those pizzas are astonishingly shit. Not just poor compared to others, but foul tasting, I chucked it out after a slice, couldn’t do it
