  • You don't need to convert it. It comes with thru axle inserts

  • Recommendations for a fixed gear lockring tool?
I wouldn't want to pay too much, but I also wouldn't want to waste money on a poor quality tool…

  • Unior, what I have and yeah, the chain does pop off and got replaced, just love the leverage of it.

Welcome to have a go at it uf you're London and SE based.

  • I’ve got one of these, Park Tool HCW-17, I’ve had it 15(?)years and it’s got some very stiff lock rings off in that time. They come up on the bay for under £10 a lot and are £15ish from most places.

  • Thanks for the offer, but I don't live in the UK.

  • Um. No idea what I did with them

  • Think condor have the set for £30, but maybe someone wedded to rim brakes would sell theirs on

  • Is there a simple answer to who out of a newspaper/news website or book/magazine publisher is subject to more scrutiny over what they publish? Colleague has told me he doesn't read msm anymore and prefers to source his information through books (fair?) and podcasts (um...).

  • Is there a simple answer to who out of a newspaper/news website or book/magazine publisher is subject to more scrutiny over what they publish?

Not really. For the UK, most very slightly reputable newspaper and magazine publishers are somewhat expected to retract and correct blatant falsehoods as a part of membership of IPSO, although the lie is halfway around the world before truth has got his boots on, so the effect is limited. There is also a Ministry of Truth approved regulator, IMPRESS, but I don't think anybody ever reads any of the member titles.

Books and podcasts are the wild west, if they steer clear of outright unlawful or defamatory content they can lie to their hearts' content.

  • How important is the spin down on a Kickr Core? Can’t get it to work on my Bolt v2, wahoo app or zwift. How much accuracy could it lose?

  • Any recs for somewhere for 3 adults to stay in bristol? Ideally different rooms. Some kind of local apartment let place? Single night mid November. Old market area.

  • Ibis Temple Meads? Technically just across the water from Temple Meads but 5 mins walk from Old Market

  • Glamping ? There's a place we used to stay in St. Paul's for polo tournaments that was interesting, assuming the guy is still going it was fun.

  • I notice 10-15w difference before I remember it needs a spindown

  • This one has been answered already but I wanna chime in with this from Runwell. Sprocket tool too. Very useful.

  • I've wanted a minivelo for a while and chance has come for n+1 justification. It'll be for riding with the family so ideally I'll be fitting basket/racks for utility but the big question is this: Can they fit a child seat?

Also, for anyone who's ridden both, should I just get a folder instead?

  • I’ve got a Hamax on my RSW-16, so it ought to fit?

  • Good to know, thanks!

  • A folder will have more utility, a mini velo will be more fun.

  • Yes I do, a sealed circuit.

  • I've just ordered delivery from deluveroo which is a bit of a rarity but enough to ask the question.

It looks like it's going to be delivered b by car. At least the delivery icon shows a car.

Is there a way I can request a bicycle delivery only?

I'm not in London but if not do any of the other major food delivery services offer this option?

  • I had the same idea. I thought having the weight lower and smaller wheels was a good idea. At first I used a rack designed for 20" wheels. This sat the little one way too close to riders pedals. So switched to a normal rack and that was manageable bit still very tight/not ideal. I guess it's why all these long-tail kiddo carriers stretch out a bit.
Personally, I wouldn't want the twisting forces on a folder, but I know some on here have done it.

  • Would a Bobbin Metric fit the bill? 20 inch wheels so what see as a mini vello

If you are going shopper, buy the one that not proprietary BB threads so no Raleigh's.
