Wind last night has snapped off a few of my Xmas spuds close to the base. Both got a leaf or tow still attached- likely to survive? They’ve been in a while so well established and mounded.

What you going to do if the frost hits them? Just earth them to the top?

Well they’re autumn planting spuds so hopefully they’ll be fairly hardy, maybe I’ll give them a barrow of woodchip mulch tomorrow to keep them cosy.
They’ve been mounded a couple of times already so thinking they’re pretty sturdy by now. Can fashion something to keep the wind at bay :)
