Is it a 1056?

I have another King Iris on the way.
The Tune seatpost is set at approx. saddle height.
Most likely I'll use a two-piece bar and stem as finding the correct size for Canyon's one-piece cockpit is looking unlikely. On the upside, that allows me to use 36cm or smaller bars which I much prefer
I've found an Ultegra Di2 Hydro groupset for a good price, but the cranks will need to be swapped for 165mm's. I would like a power meter but some lightweight wheels are a higher priority.

This is relevant to my interests.
Also dibs the tune post back if you ever shift it. Could do with it now, typical

I’ll let you know if I swap it for something else.
I do wonder if there might be a difference in comfort switching to a carbon inline. -
• #7
I'm sure there's a difference but whether or not you'd ever notice it I couldn't say. I switched between the tune post and a VCLS split carbon post and never felt a difference tbh

Never rode them back to back though

Full R8050/R8070 Groupset.
I got a decent price at £300.
Some isopropyl and maybe some new rubber hoods and it should be functionally perfect.
The chainset will need to be replaced; I ride 165mm cranks and these are 175mm.

That's a bargain

batt install will be fun! get the Hope BB. If you need the tool to install, I have it.
-
• #12
actually no VCLS so batt can go in seatpost, i'd still recommend to install it in DT like canyon designed

I'm really not looking forward to wiring everything up and doing the hydraulics!
-
• #14
That being said, I've just wired up everything on off the bike and it shifts perfectly (with lovely servo noises).
There are some things I don't understand.
Am I right in thinking there is no software needed to setup the group from scratch? And when I come to put a cassette on, I do the adjustments on the RD itself?
Meaning I don't need the E-Tube app or desktop software. I would only need those if I wanted syncroshifting, firmware updates, etc...Is this anything important I should know or is it, for the most part, quite simple?
-
• #15
It's extremely simple. Most likely you will put it all together and it will just work. You can micro adjust on the bike without any software.

I've a basically new p2m NGeco in 165 for Shimano rings I could part with.

aliexpress has a direct mount redshift hanger, looks nicer, probably stiffer

It seems the Canyon expander bung is stuck in the steerer.
Has anyone dealt with this? It might be a problem if I cut the steerer, as the top cap bolt may be too long for the shallow depth the bung is set at. Which would stop me from fully tightening it down. -

I’m also looking for a Canyon low stack headset cap, if anyone has one.

You have the RD on wrong. The middle black bit should point backwards almost horizontal

I did fix that afterwards! Thanks.
There are a few parts I'm looking for:
1 - 1/4 " spacers
Di2 Charger
Bontrager Aeolus Saddle, 145mm
Shimano Ultegra Di2 Hydro rubber hoods
Carbon Wheelset - some LB rims on Bitex or DT Swiss would be nice.I'm also on the lookout again for Canyon's one-piece handlebar and stem in the sizes 80/90/100mm extension and anything under 40cm width.
The perfect size would be 90mm x 39cm
I think it will look significantly better than the two-piece set up.
Thanks -

Thankfully it seems that Canyon are restocking one-piece cockpits; I'm going to try to get 90-370 when they come back in stock in December. Until then I'll use two-piece. Fingers crossed I can get it before it goes out of stock again!
