  • In trying really hard not to try and metagame/optimise it and just let it wash over me - something like when I first played morrowind as a teenager. Although there is absolutely zero compelling me to wander into the wilderness like an Elder Scrolls game I am enjoying the city environments.

I really enjoyed the ryujin quest line despite janky stealth mechanics.. have barely touched planetary exploration/outposts/ship design, very much just fast travelling around. I can't really tell how much 'content' vs junk there is (I've read about repeated content etc) Just had the Juno chance encounter which was great, if brief.

I'm finding I'm enjoying it much more in 2 hour chunks rather than wanting to absolutely session it.

  • ryujin quest line

I've been doing that too, just done the one where you sneak around your own office and ended up giving up on stealth, had to go full stun gun.

  • Lots of hidden vents in the ceiling with panels to turn off the lights on each floor!

  • had to go full stun gun.

I ended up with a silenced gun in the end - it was the big robot that I couldnt get past. I got told off by the boss for it, but no-one seemed to mind that much at the end.

I'm quite far in - done the Freestar Rangers and the Ryujin quests , but I'm not 100% sure that I'm really fully enjoying the game - there seems to be so much other stuff around that's bypassing me but that also seems a bit fiddly to get into - the menus or interface seem slightly offputting to doing it.

I'm not really researching, or getting crewmates, or upgrading, or changing my ship.
