  • I sent them a message to say 'please keep it'.

  • Yep intend to do the same ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

  • I've had a quick look at the Explore function. It has some of the original functionality but it loses the ability to sort by, eg, length. And the graphical display means that it is so s-l-o-w to look through multiple, by which I mean more than 10, results. A real loss.

  • Also not happy with the RWGPS change. It was an excellent way to hunt for new routes and I used it a lot. It feels like they are trying to make it look like Komoot.

@frank9755 I'm sure I searched by length yesterday when looking for a route but it was hidden within another setting. I agree about the graphic display though. Really not user friendly and slow.

  • You should write to them, they'll want to hear and will take note!

    Cc @jdp too

  • Shameless plug time: having never used it, my Elemnt Bolt V2 is up for sale here. Want it gone so shoot me an offer if keen: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/390673

  • You can search by length but when you get the results you can't order them by length, is what I meant to say!

  • Let me know. My experience of working with them is that they are customer focused, so they'll listen and adapt.

  • Looked at the footage and it was very random and definitely not round here so put it in an envelope with โ€˜found hereโ€™ and dropped it off at the local police station
Last footage was a bit odd as it slowly cruised up to the junction where I found it and then bam! It was out the window as if somebody side swiped it, if it had naturally fell off itโ€™s mounting it would be in the footwell.

    smartphone with OSMAND

  • Not smartphone please, a separate unit

  • Not smartphone please, a separate unit

a second smartphone with a battery pack will be cheaper and simpler

    please outline your requirments
    ant+ ?
    bluetooth coonectivity?
    wireless connectivity?
    on device routing?
which metrics do you want to measure
what do you want the device to do?

  • I need a GPS unit for someone so he can participate in gravel events, sportives and all that. Bonus points for having usable on the fly routing. Less training clutter possible

  • My workaround was to do a factory reset on the wahoo each time I need to upload a route. Hate it but still can't justify buying a new one as I'm interested how long will this v1 bolt survive. It just won't die.

  • Yeah, even that stopped working eventually. Still happy enough with the replacement Garmin, just find the Wahoo easier to use on the move.

  • Does anyone make Apple sport loop style strap for Garmin watches? I have a 22mm strap interface.

  • eBay has loads, you are usually better searching by model number rather than width. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/404139718778 might work, depends what you really want.

  • ah excellent! do you have any first hand experience? do they last okay?

  • Not that style. I've stayed away from nylon straps as they apparently take a while to dry after swimming which is my favourite activity.

I've had half a dozen eBay 'Garmin' straps. Some have been good, some a bit shonky. None have lasted as long as the genuine Garmin ones but they have been something like 20% of the price.

  • Hey,

on the market now for a brand new garmin edge.
My previous 810 has now 8 years and he is going to a friend who looks desperately to have one but can't afford one.

I had my eyes on the new 540. Use: general commute and sunday rides. For everything else: audaxing I have the edge 30 and for "racing" cx I use a edge 25 on my wrist.

Any review from lfgss people on the new 540?

    Thanks

  • Garmin edge explore 2.
It's still a garmin, so takes a little while to get it setup with a minimum of fuss, but the mapping and rerouting is good.
It'll still track your power and HR, just doesn't have all the structured training stuff.

  • The screen on my trusty V1 Wahoo Bolt has given up the ghost after 3.5 year of heavy use...

I see the V1 Wahoo Roam is a decent price at around ยฃ190.

Do we think they will continue to produce updates for it?
