  • They wouldn't even be competent at that.

  • They should play Serbian Roulette (same rules as Russian, but with 6 bullets in the chambers).

  • Rishi Sunak announcing in Manchester that he's cancelling HS2 to Manchester is a 4D chess move.

  • Who knew the bottom of the Tory barrel is a fractal phenomenon?

    Nice. Will plagerise.

  • I know this isn't what you're saying, but it grinds my gears that these disingenuous fuckwhits make out like checks and balances on not being able to do whatever you want whenever you want is a conspiracy against them.

This is the situation as it ever was. You as a politician want to do something, and then some killjoy comes along and points out all the impracticalities and defines the scope of what's achievable.

Look at Labour's position on charitable status for schools. They put it on their wishlist when there was no prospect of power anytime soon, then they relalise they actually have to work out the practical implementation only to discover it's a massive a ballache, so they go for a narrower but viable alternative.

It's called being a fucking grown-up. But yet the party of pragmatism, common sense, and stability cannot grasp this. They're not even the dregs of the barrel. They're the crud that's accumulated underneath the barrel because it's been sitting there too long.

  • I just listened to the Truss speech, absolute bat shit that she's still got a platform and she's considering another leadership tilt.

Farage calling the tories a social democratic party was gold

  • Wasn't he desperately trying not to announce it, but it was leaked and now he has to?

  • The fucking nuts on Truss trying to rewrite recent events as though she was never Prime Minister with an 80 seat majority.

    The biggest majority this century.

Unelected. Using an original mandate of leveling up and improving the NHS to give uncosted tax breaks, resulting in crashing £, lowering our credit rating, putting pensions funds at risk, and more.

But yet she's acting like some sort of up and coming breath of fresh air, rather than a stale fanny fart.

  • It's not just her, she's being backed by the same IEA cave trolls that put her in power the first time although now it's in the shadow of a general election, like they think the voting public is so stupid that we've already forgotten she crashed our economy in record time and we'd actively chose her to do so again.

  • I'm increasingly convinced that she's a Labour Party fifth columnist.

  • Truss is the Tory’s Corbin, general ridiculed and hated by the wider public, but the party faithful love it. The more truss the better I say.

  • I don’t disagree with any of that, but the outcome is the same, she’s toxic to the public and the more air time she gets the more damage is being done to the Tory’s

  • So will farage get donated a Tory seat from the new conservative leader once sunak ups and offs to California having fully venture capitalist asset stripped the UK?

Truss would make for an interesting leader of the opposition. She's functionally useless and would be likely unable to cross-examine.

Braverman would at least stick to her racism low tax brief

  • This is the most bat shit crazy Tory party conference.

They're lapping up Truss's economic plans, completely forgetting her clusterfuck budget that cost the country billions and put up millions of people's mortgages.

Every minister is spouting the most ridiculous conspiracy theories and just downright lies. Latests is Countinho claiming that Starmer wants to introduce a meat tax.

  • I'm on the train up to Manchester now for meetings in our office which is opposite where the conference is taking place. Apparently the bottom two floors have been taken over by some fringe event, no doubt full of swivel-eyed loons. Might have a look at how easy it is to set the sprinkler system off..

  • You normally can't get too close unless you're wearing red trousers.

  • I purposefully stuck to jeans but am now concerned the jeans & sheaux vibe will lead to me being ushered into some rugger-bugger side room and forced to perform unspeakble acts. Hopefully the lack of a school tie will save me.

  • Savanta have done a word cloud on the Tories.

  • If you smoke, I think the chat in the smoker alley downstairs will be fascinating.

  • Disappointed that Evil wasn’t bigger.

  • Is Nero outside fiddling?

  • As one of their greatest fans would say, burn down the disco, hang the bloody DJ

  • Genuinely surprised Vicious and Cruel were missing.
