Anyone trying to get rid of a coffee scale that would fit under a cafelat robot? E.g weightman etc

@plasticniki How are you finding life with the Clever dripper? Having just had a little one 10 days ago I think it could make making nice coffee easier than a v60

make making nice coffee easier than a v60
This is why I’ll never go back to v60. Rinse filter/preheat dripper, drain water, weigh in water, add coffee on top of water and stir in, leave for 2 minutes. Agitate dripper to settle grounds, and drain into cup.
It’s so much easier to dial in, so much less variation in technique. Really easy, really consistent. Do it!

another big +1 for the clever - use it daily and it's super easy to make consistently good coffee

Just got a normcore dosing funnel to improve wdt, and reduce mess/loss, annoyingly the magnets work really well in the stock basket but they don’t stick to the ims basket very well, clearly made of an alloy with less magnetic properties… mildly disappointing …

Roundhill excellent - they do cheaper bags at the Green Park farmers market every Saturday. They also do roastery door sales - you email at start of the week to find out what they have, then collect on Friday. Colonna okay, not been wowed the last few times I’ve been in there. Girls who grind is based a bit further away in wiltshire, and there’s also a predominantly Colombian roaster called coffee gems based in Chippenham that I’m yet to try. Frome has some lovely coffee shops to sample. Hit me up if you want coffee shop recs, been in Bath for over 5 years now.
P.s tenderloin is correct, Landrace is exceptional.

Another +1. I've had mine for a couple of years or so, use it every day, no looking back.
I really miss the Clever when I go away and have to use my Aeropress Go.

Just reiterating what everyone is saying, it's impossible to cock up with the clever dripper, I completely forgot one brew for about 10 mins and it still tasted great.
V60 only gets used when I need more than 500ml

Has anyone got experience with one of these / similar twin spout moka pots? https://valentinadeli.co.uk/products/bialetti-mini-express-double-serve-stovetop-coffee-maker-red

I broke it a couple of months after getting it!!! Haven't bought another one because I have countless other ways to make coffee, even though it was probably my favourite method :(
(It's mainly the plastic which bothered me. I don't need more plastic shit.)

I didn’t have the greatest experience with that style, stick with a standard 3 cup if that’s the right amount of brew for you. The 3 cup is the sweet spot when it comes to moka makers anyway imo.

Okay well thanks all for the feedback I think I'll get one. It also helps streamline my filter buying as they're the same as the Moccamaster which I used when I'm making coffee for more than just me.

My partner accidentally dropped mine & broke it. I haven't replaced but agree it is so much easier than v60.

I got a pack of the Hasbean drip bags to take on holiday last week and found them a bit of a pain. The coffee was not awful but you have to pour through such tiny amounts of water at a time that it takes way longer than I'd like, and they advise adding only up to 200ml of water after a bloom so it's quite a small cup. Also the last bit tends to not drain through properly as the base of the bag is invariably touching your drink, so you have to hold it by the tabs and wait with it hovering above your mug.

@kimchi @Tenderloin plenty to explore then! Landrace looks worth a visit for multiple reasons 👀

Oh yes - my favourite place in Bath for sure. They also have a lovely bar/restaurant upstairs which gives even more excuses to part with your hard earned.
Also completely forgot Cereal Bakery tucked away in Berdoulat near the royal crescent which has a curated selection of baked stuff and also usually has an interesting coffee or two on from Red Bank and other northern roasters if you want a break from the ubiquitous Round Hill / Extract / Triple Co Roast. -

I’d like to recommend the 9barista again to the thread, I’ve been back in the UK for a week and a half now and it just makes great coffee, and is fun to use- and I wrapped it in a t shirt and threw it in my bag in SG.

Timemore 078s finally arriving today, or at least it is with DPD!
Think I'm in the first batch too. Any idea on delivery? Guess at some point next week. Think my scales were delivered with Evri 😬
