  • This is gorgeous.

I've got something similar in the works with a caad4, so assuming grx will also work with mine, which makes me v happy. Do you think it'd fit the double? I'm going 650b but good to know that reasonably sized 700 will fit as well

  • Thanks!

Yeah the double would fine fine imo.

  • Final (ish) form.

35c Terra speeds now, which live up to the name as they are pretty rapid on both the road and on the trail.

Also swapped out the USE seatpost for a carbon one.

  • Looks great! Did you sort the headshock?

  • Not yet, hoping to get it done at some point this month.

  • Been after one of the T frames for quite a while, turns out all I had to do was get Hand Foot and Mouth and then bid on one high on prescription anti histamines. Who knew?!

  • Little work on the frame before building.
Managed to find a reasonable match for the paint, Renault Clio Black Gold, but damned if i could get a consistent finish on the top coat. Oh well.

    Looks okay though.

Needed top tube cable guides, the shapeways ones ramped up in cost to almost £70 three including shipping! Ridic.
At that price i just shelled out for the aluminium ones from Vintage Cannondale, nicely made and a clever fixing system.

  • Promising start. I think the seat post will stand out too much at the end though

  • Same, it will get replaced eventually i think.

  • Also have the Vintage Cannondale cable guides on my T1000, did worry a bit about the fastening system but they have been rock solid after more than 3 years of daily commutes.

Your T400 looks way better than mine though, but they do ride really really well!

  • Good to know!

Very scrappy frame when i got it and im not overly happy with the lacquer job i rattle canned, but i think its looks alright.

All the parts are here now, 1x GRX group that I had spare and Mini-Vs.

Now just need the time to build it

  • Fin. better pics, needed and fenders to fit, but otherwise its done.

Now of only i get rid of this bloody brake squeal….

Cleaned the rims, tried toe-in, although the lhs pad holders seems to be resisting my attempts. Sigh

  • Yes! Now all it needs are guards and lights :)

  • Guards fitted….

  • So good!

Needs a cannondale stock tig welded stem to perfection

  • Love that paint.. beautiful machine 👌🏻

  • Upped the stopping power with some CX9’s, better clearance for the guards as well.

  • you're going to trim those stays though, yeah?

  • Si, just need some snips. Happy with the clearance now.

  • 😎 looks great btw.
any thoughts on a silver seatpost?

  • In a somewhat alarming turn of events I realised that in this moment the correct number of bike for me is N, where N=1.

So one bike has to go and it’s not the T400. The plus side here is that this means its gets an upgrade on parts. GRX 2x10, 105 5700 shifters and new built Chris King OG hubs on DCR 24 rims with Sapim DLights .
