You also have the option of sealing anything you can’t wash in a plastic bag and leaving it for - at the very least - 3 months. That should be sufficient for any bed bugs to starve. Assuming you store it at room temperature, it might take longer if you store it somewhere cold.
This is one of the approaches I took when moving out of a house with bedbugs - massive ziplock bags and an attic. Didn’t return to them for 9 months out of fear.
Bed bugs can live almost a year without feeding.
The only way to kill them is heat, carpet cleaner or hard floor cleaner worked for us.
