Where's good for a pint around Spitalfields? Will be bank holiday Sunday evening, will everywhere be packed full of nobheads?

Pride of Spitalfields

Anything decent near the V&A Kensington? Looking for a spot for a quiet catch-up pint.

Hereford Arms on Gloucester Road isn’t bad. You’re not exactly spoilt for choice round those parts, unless you’re looking for a coffee.

Grenadier is a nice space and usually slightly less braying than other options round there. You WILL see red trousers, tho.

The Queen's Arms is a 10 minute walk and is quite a charming pub (or at least it was when I was there ~5years ago!).

Queen's Arm's is decent from what I remember https://www.thequeensarmskensington.co.uk/#/
Although sometimes a little too Hooray Henry for my tastes. -

@exteroceptive Nags Head, Wilton Arms, Grenadier are all very close to each other and all decent.

Another Queens Arms suggestion here too - used to be my go-to for a quiet pint away from the Union as a student, 20+ years ago.
Although sometimes a little too Hooray Henry for my tastes.
But this is right also. Depends who's in there. The pub itself isn't the issue.
Not a huge amount of choice round there.

Amazing, thanks for all of the suggestions everyone. It will be a Friday evening so might have to try a few different places to find somewhere that isn't too busy. Good to have so many options.

Friend's come over from denmark, and is staying out by dalston lane, decent pubs over those sides, not too loud music wise, but nice buzz, close to decent restaurants would be nice as well.

Scolt Head is pretty nice, Brilliant Corners might be an option too.

Such a great pub, an old bandmate used to live around the corner so we'd be in there for post-rehearsal bevvies on the regular. Used to love ogling the vintage cars in the showroom on the other side of the mews.

Spurstow Arms is the hipster venue of choice, otherwise Dalston roofbar if weather is nice
-

Depending on which end of Dalston Lane you are, The Pembury is fairly close to the Hackney end and has Five Points beers (plus others) on tap along with good pizza options.

Are there any decent pubs between Barbican/Moorgate (open at weekends and not the Jugged Hare)? Cheers

2 brewers on whitecross st used to be ok?
-

Cheers. That looks like it will do the job.

Any suggestions for somewhere in Kentish Town for a quiet drink?
-
• #871
The Pineapple is off the main stretch and is pretty good.
-
• #872
That'll do nicely, thanks!

• #873
Seconded

Thirded The Pineapple.
Do they still do Thai food?
-

I'd probably also say the Pineapple, but if you want something at the other end then https://www.tappingtheadmiral.com/
Went there recently, can confirm it's still a good spot.
