That it progressing well.. Is it staying "double height" like that??

There will be a section in the hallway with glass in the roof , the rest is getting new ceilings as they were wonky and covered in rat droppings and other horrible stuff…😱

• #81
I liked those external steps. Will you be reinstating? Great to see this progressing
-

They were falling away from the front of the house and were a complete pain to get rid of (solid concrete and other rubble).
The plan is to have the front door below the window at garage door level - the steps then go up internally into the house to the "atrium" type landing.
Site visit on Thursday speccing all the glass - going for slimline stuff which will be more £ but should look a lot nicer..
Thinking of an orange front door - RAL 2004 like this (scroll down a bit)https://www.gardenista.com/posts/urban-landscape-seattle-modern-house-shed-architecture/

Nice. big fan of that orange. and fair enough on the stairs. they looked good though. but plan sounds even better.

I have had vague thoughts previously of an orange front door to liven up the front of our 70s PVC window encrusted place. If you go down that route, please share the source?
-

Will do, waiting on the costs to come in for all the glass (££!) so the front door may just initially be a basic wooden job until we have more time/money to source something more permanent/orange!
House is now watertight and floors being boarded upstairs

Looking really really good. Hoping you're not going to start cutting lots of holes for downlights, what are the plans for the lighting in the rooms above?

Death to ceiling zits!

Main bedroom - this room is having one pendant light to the left of the window and lamps. There’s so much natural light in there. No spots!
Eventually we’ll have sedum on the flat roof but haven’t got enough ££ at the moment

looks liked you lined that with kingspan K118 or some other insulated plasterboard?
-
• #98
The insulation / plasterboard is really thick everywhere (don’t know the spec off the top of my head) due to the new building regs.
Should be pretty toasty 🥵 -
