My socks are soaked after a zwift "race". Most likely from the gallons of sweat on my legs.My shoes are minging.

I can recommend a triathlon specific shoe for this problem.

Ankle gutters sound exactly what I'm after, possibly into a simple distillation purifier so I can water the plants.
Tri shoes - I hate myself even more.

What fan are you using? if lacking, maybe a vacmaster air mover will help reduce the sweat
If getting airier 3 bolt shoes, can get an adapter like the Shimano SM-SH41
There are some cheap spinning shoes out there like..

I have 2 fans, headband, sweatband, towel over handlebars and occasionally treat myself to a gel ice pack down the back. I also have a pair of shoes I use exclusively for turbo and leave them outside to dry off afterwards.
-
• #4542
One fan, headband, wrist bands, towel over stem, bigger towel for picking up and wiping face, ice cubes in bottles.
I tend to sweat from my top half though - face, arms, torso and don't really have a damp leg issue.

Has anyone used both the Tacx neo and the kickr?
They’re reasonably affordable (it’s still fucking pricy though) atm on wiggle.
I like the idea of the neo folding up vs the kickr just being there. I’ve read the neonmakes you work harder for your watts when “racing” on zwift.Which would be its major use tbh.
Upgrading from a big yellow fluid trainer and power meter - unsure why, there’s always a vague “I could do turbo?” From other people in my house but I don’t think they know how fucking grim it is. -

Obvs i also like the idea of being able to use the Neo without power too.

Not the Neo but I used to have the Flux and now I have Kickr 5. I thought about Neo for folding benefits, but realistically, it would either never go away or it would never come out. The added faff would make it undesirable. I already have to help my wife to swap the bikes on the turbo, so I wouldn't want to also move it and set it up each time. I mainly got the kickr for the direct ethernet connection because I could never get the flux to reliably connect to Apple TV, and it's been great for the last year. Also with Kickr you get race mode or whatever they call it if racing on Zwift is your jam.
I'm currently killing my shoes with turbo training. What are the better options here? Apart from not turbo training.
Knitted shoes?
