For what I’ve used it for yes, but not had to take them on-off as much as I’m not commuting as much on it. In use they feel just like any other pedal, which I guess is exactly what you want from it!

Apart from Marathons, what other puncture resistant tyres are recommended?
I have some nobbly kids 16” Kendas that I’m tempted to use, but I’m guessing they won’t last.

I’ve been using them for a few months. All good so far, pedal on and off all the time. I prefer the QR mechanism over the MKS ones I have tried. There is the odd occasion when it takes a couple of goes to get the pedal on but this is a matter of a couple of seconds. The play that was present when they were new has not got any worse.

@Sergeant_Pluck Is the play noticeable or annoying whilst riding? Do Brompton parts come with guarantee? I might give them a go if they do and the play is not too annoying 😊

@Alf0nse this might help, quite comprehensive:

Sorry, to be clear, what tubes (model numbers or sizes) do people recommend? Only tube I could find quickly was a 16” Halfords own brand, it was for a 305mm rim so nearly impossible to get the tyre on without pinching it. The LBS had “Brompton size” tubes in and, while I’m happy to buy local, £10 a tube is pretty steep

@pedro82 Better price and reasonable postage if you are in the uk https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/inner-tubes/schwalbe-av4-schrader-tube-400a1618-tyres-37340-28349-to-37349-28355-to-35355/
This is even cheaper but I haven’t tried them so worth double checking the measurements:

Please bear with me, my Brompton is being serviced. Google tells me a stock M6R weighs 12.3kgs, is that right? I'm just trying to figure out luggage limits and if I can/should take my bike on my next trip.
So with a soft Brompton bag about 14kgs total?

strip, clean, prime and paint it with something with anti corrosive properties.
yeah... thinking I might have a go at cleaning it up & putting some clear lacquer/nail polish over the areas. wondering if it's worth getting some "gun blue" to apply before the lacquer, or not worry so much...
the rear guard sits inside of the bridge
ah, that's a good shout, just wrestled it a bit & the guard popped into the inside of the bridge - think that'll help!

Does anyone want these shiney wooden Brompton mudguard blades?
I think they were made by a company called Nisnas, I've likely had them for nearly 10 years. Never tried to install them.As far as I can see they're drilled in the right places and there are nice brass fastenings to attach the little 90⁰ brackets, you may have to remove these from an old pair of blades. I dunno exactly how you mount the stays, you'll have to experiment!
Free to someone who wants them, I'd prefer collection from Crystal Palace but can also post.
Sam

Anyone got any contacts with ti parts workshop? Just had my removable pedal sheer off as I was heading up a ramp.
Not impressed. Gonna need a really thin spanner to get the crank end off, so I can put some new pedals on..

I’ll take them, if no one else has pm’d in front of me.

Sheer Corny power?
A great upgrade, but that part has just failed to do what it is meant to do.
I doubt it would have made any difference in your case, but did you attach the washer?

I think I may have one of those, brought when I thought I would service some track hubs, but never got round to it..
@Arvy. pedals were fitted at lbs, so assuming that washer was fitted.
I’d like a replacement pedal and fitment from tpw, as in my mind it shouldn’t break at that point, from just pedalling up a slight grade.
But we shall see..

The pedal holder looks like mks, wonder if it's original or a ti parts copy? I'd go with mks pedals
-
• #14300
Have seen the mks ones as I’ve been searching, assuming the tpw ones are mks copies as they make titanium qr holders for mks pedals..
Mks ezy’s look like they are removable on both sides, may go for a pair of those if I don’t get a response from tpw, when I try and contact them..
I went through a similar process earlier this year. Didn’t get to ride both but went into Brompton Covent Garden to have a play with the super lights and they look impressive and do have a nice easy-to-use release mechanism but I found getting them reconnected a touch fiddly (I’m sure it’ll get easier with practice!) but also I wasn’t as keen about the wobbly-ness of the pedal shaft/crank interface. It’s based on a hex key design (a la the body of Allen keys) and I felt this was going to wear and round off as it’s a high load, high west area. I’ve had Allen keys that have done the same due to poor handling and didn’t want this for my pedals so went with mks in the end as I felt it was more tried and tested
