  • It's a step up from those shitty enamel pots people used to have and can work in some kitchens but not in those hospitals these women store them.

  • The little themed bits are naff

But the dutch ovens are good and they work well.

  • Cooker hood recommendations?

Looking for a ~70cm integrated ‘canopy’ hood, with ideally induction motor or brushed but quiet and well-insulated.

Found Luxair, but their brushless ones protrude from the bottom and look weird. Any others that hit the noise/airflow sweet spot?

  • I’ve had plenty of issues with non stick on my Le Creuset pans, though they have replaced on their lifetime guarantee.

what circumstances have you had to go in and sort this out? I imagine they'd be good. I'm thinking whilst i have a housemate might not go stainless route

  • I'm just about to go through this process and will see how it pans out but I found the Le Creuset non stick pretty poor for the price. I only got it a couple of years ago, looked after it well and it's still pretty crap now.

  • just offered this person £70 which is about half what it is new . Will avoid it at full price

  • You probably won't have the warranty then though.

  • I have a Raymond Blanc branded fry pan from 2015 that is as nonstick as on day 1. When I got it the coating looked soft and I didn't expect it to last but it has outlived many other pans.

  • The Raymond blanc stuff is all aluminium though, isn't it?

  • Yes, it's cast aluminium with stainless base for induction but discontinued now.

  • I have the casserole version of that, I think. The handles are cheap bollokcs, and have all broken.

The non-stick is still good, but then it is anodised, rather than stuck on (as it would be with steel).

  • I had an older toughened non stick pan where the non stick was scratching easily and wasn’t so non stick any more. 15 years old.

Also a cast iron frying pan, where the non stick was lifting and flaking, about 18 years old.

    Both replaced for new.

I have 2 tri ply stainless le creuset pans that are only 2 years old (milk pan and chefs pan) where the non stick is lifting in the edges. Need to request a warranty replacement next week.

  • Treated myself to this little number. Love it.

  • Sexy!

  • I need to move my vented tumble dryer from the garage to the utility to make space for a wine cave (#golfclubthread) this may or may not be true.

Whats the recommended heat pump dryer with drain option rather than a tank?

Samsung would match the washing machine but LG look good

  • Wine cave pictures and details…

Need to see the Eurocave(s) bound in red leather!

  • I got a Samsung Series 5 DV80TA020AX in July and have been happy with it so far. Has a long warranty that appealed to me. I use the tank but I assume it can have a hose out instead.

  • Yep, that's what I'm looking at

Very much second hand and poor condition

  • Thanks. Will google

  • Beko made the one that Which? think is the best.
I have one, and it really is very good. It comes with both a tank and the hose to change it to drain.
