Rims are a set of grey anodised Mavic CXP 12.

It's an early model Mavic seatpost - they're all matte black apart from the chariot on top. The later (and more common) model has the post in shiny black, then the top is silver as is the chariot.

One of my alltime favourites. Exquisite fillets, broggio paint, bitube and a groupset that combines classy aesthetics and performance. I reckon you subconsciously put on a turbo due to the similarities with a Mecacycle Turbo ;)
Those most be some of the steepest seatstays… -

This is fantastic!

Not quite so subconscious really, as it was previously on my (now long gone) Mecacycle Turbo :)

If you can't see the wobble with your eyes or by holding something against the rim while you turn it, does it really matter?

With rim brakes you can feel a pulse through the rim when they’re not straight or if the rim has a build up somewhere.
But in short, not really

New bike for getting me through LVV accreditation and hopefully into some racing this winter. Does anybody know if this is allowed on the LVV road circuit? Would be good to get some hours in without paying 20 something quid for the velodrome sessions

They say you need a front brake but that's the only limit

I have a soft spot for old Specialized in fancy color combos.
Just brought this Rockhopper Comp 1992 from its original owner. Seems to be in decent condition and comes with all original parts except the stem.

I think I have a stem from a ca same era specialized if you want it.

Good carving job on the 600 cranks! Lovely build as usual.
-
• #131449
Surely those are not the same cranks! No! No..?

The idea of this build is that the bike is rolling for me so I'm waiting for a Soma HWY1 handlebar and I added 172.5 cranks because I can't stand anything else.
Looking for a Shimano 600 FC-6400 172.5 Crankset and a 28C rear tire
That's a sexy big bike! Good job
What rims?
