  • So, anyone picked up Bomb Rush Cyberfunk yet?

  • I have an old ps3 that I could part with, not sure if that’s too old for you though
    Let me know

  • I’m enjoying Everspace 2 quite a bit.

  • I'm enjoying Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow

  • Anybody looking forward to the MGS collection? Surprised it's still only going to be running at 30 on the Switch (considering the Vita was able to pull that off a decade ago), but will likely still pick it up for convenience.

  • Surprised it's still only going to be running at 30 on the Switch

You'd think even the Switch could handle animated movies interrupted by the occasional minigame.

  • Hey, if this isn't peak gameplay, I don't know what is:

  • If you blink that can look like him climbing along the roof of a horizontal tunnel, not up a vertical one, and suddenly it's creepy as fuck.

  • Watched the trailer for Snake Eater remake recently, so hyped

  • Armoured Core 6 is very good

  • Spent a lot of time with my 7 year old nephew watching others play Mine craft and Rainbow friends - he was more interested in watching then playing

  • Aw hell yeah, it's the best game series ever

  • Also, just spotted this video covering the new collection titled "17 Minutes of Metal Gear Solid 3 Gameplay"

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D10VRI0SAJg

16 minutes of cutscenes, 1 minute of gameplay...

  • The above had got me thinking I might give the series a go since I've never played it and it's supposed to be so good. The minute of gameplay in this video makes me think actually maybe I won't. Did they upload the wrong video or something?

  • It's from the Switch version, so 720p @ 30fps. I believe the full console versions are going to be 1080p @ 60fps.

But yeah, not a massive improvement on the old HD Collection IMO.

I'm mostly planning to pick it up so I can have it on my Switch as opposed to digging out (and charging) my Vita.

To confuse matters further, on top of this version. There's also a proper remake of MGS3 on the cards:

  • Graphics didn't even bother me, more the person playing just spent a minute stumbling around a bit, climbing a tree, falling out of a tree then climbing the same tree.

I'll probably get the collection on xbox once it's in a sale though.

  • Just finished LoU2... Very sad.... Both for ending it and sad ending.

Fuck that took a long time.... Only took since before 09/2021

  • I've got into doing the daily Microsoft Rewards stuff over the last couple of months which actually seems like a pretty decent scheme. For about 5 minutes a day of using bing and playing my xbox like I usually would I've got enough points for about £30 of micrsoft vouchers so far, which is pretty nice to have sitting around when I see a game in the sale that I'm after.

  • Wasn't even aware of this, I've got some points but not enough for a voucher yet

  • Yeah I was the same previously. Had some points here and there from the game pass rewards but not much and then recently bought a game that gave some rewards back as well which meant I had enough for a £5 voucher. Ended up looking into it and found the subreddit for it which breaks it down. Basically log on to Bing browser and click rewards on the top right and there's daily things to do which gives a few points and then searches on phone and web give some more with daily streaks and stuff adding up too. Also if you have the xbox app you get points for just opening that up, and you can get more for playing a level of their Jewel game. More points for 'Playing a Game with Friends on PC' but you can just load up AoE2 and sit in a lobby for a bit which I do in the background, there's people set up lobbies specifically for the points. Also look for the rewards app on the Xbox itself which has other tasks, but most of those are linked to the bing searches and using Microsoft Edge a few days in a row. Finally then there's the Game Pass rewards which I never really bothered with, but the weekly/monthly ones like 'Play this Game' or 'Get 25 kills in this game' are actually really simple to do just loading up the game on the cloud gaming and going through them, and it works obviously because I've ended up playing a few of the games fully through after this when I wouldn't have noticed them previously.

It's worth holding the points until you find something you want to redeem as vouchers bought through it have to be used within a few months (the xbox ones at least). You can get vouchers for a load of non-microsoft xbox stuff too. Looks like you can get a 3 month Game Pass ultimate pass for 35,000 points which I might redeem when I get to it as think I'll easily be able to do that within every 3 month period.

One note if you do get into it, watch out if you try logging in when travelling as it can block and lock your account for good according to people on the subreddit.

  • Beat Balthear in Armoured Core 6 yesterday, that was tough but once I figured out the method I did it with loads of health left.

  • Slamming my head off an early boss in Blasphemous 2 right now. I should say bosses because it turns out to be a duo boss battle, with one filling the screen with pillars of fire and the other launching tiny stunlocking projectiles (that are hard to see through the aforementioned fire pillars). I can't really remember a duo boss fight I actually enjoyed, although in the first Blasphemous there's a trio fight that I didn't find too bad.

  • Is the game worth a cop? I feel compelled to platinum every fromsoft game and eurogamers positive review was a big green light for me to buy.
Just need a gentle nudge now if you can provide.

  • I'm really enjoying it so far, it's not a souls game but still has influences from games like Sekiro with a stagger gauge and From always nail the gameplay. It's pretty quick, requires a lot of button inputs so not exactly a relaxing game to play but the levels are quite short so easy enought to pick up and put down. I'll admit as a nerd in to Gundams I'm easily sold on mech games but I can see how some people won't get it and either get frustrated or bored.

  • Just discovered Skyrim in Space is available on early access.

I'm on gamepass and a complete mug so have just paid £30 for the privilege.
