  • Random Q - how are the forks? I assume those are 1", which is what I need to replace on my road bike and I think those Columbus ones are about the only 1" steerer carbon forks that are readily available.

  • That would actually be ideal, thanks. I'll dm you in the week.

  • Yea 1 inch and work great, no complaints!

  • ok, available in n7

  • HELP NEEDED !
I have si crankset stuck in my frame. The non-drive side crank is off but the axle and d/s crank is stuck solid. Maybe I didn’t grease the axle first, can’t remember. But I’ve sold the frame and need the crank out. I’ve poured Plusgas in but no luck. Anyone got a great idea ? Not my first Cannondale rodeo as you all know but I’ve never had this happen. And yes, I have belted seven different colours of sh*t out of it with a rubber mallet !

    HELP !!!!

  • If the crank is sacrificial, I'd try a metal tipped hammer rather than rubber. The extra shock might free it

  • I have a pair. Brand new old stock. Shiny (well Matt) brand new tings in 172.5mm. Drop me a DM.

  • I’m a bit loathe to smack it with a hammer as I’ve had this crankset for years and I’d like to keep it in one piece.

  • is it well braced when you're hitting it?

  • It’s not the one with a lip on the axle is it?

    Check.

Yeah. If you can get the frame on its side and well supported with the arm in a helpful gap, smack several shades of shit out of it with a metal hammer braced with a sacrificial bit of wood.

It will come out…in the end

  • it's alloy axle in steel bearings that are stuck together ?
blow torch inside the axle to heat up, wait for the both parts to cool down ?

I have saved a steel frame with a stuck alloy post that way

  • Shouldn’t come to that.

It’s a very tight interference fit that requires a good smashing to extract.

Couldn’t believe it the first time I put one in. It’s the same with a headshok or the lefty steerer. Nylon mallet is the minimum.

  • Indeed Howard it’s been a while since I’ve taken one out and yes, oh yes, oh yea. It had the lip on the axle. Funny it wouldn’t go past that !!!! 😂

    THANK YOU ALL !!!!!

  • Got some new hoops for the CAAD 3, ready for summer down under!

  • Some absolute bangers over the last few pages, always nice to see old Cannondale's live on. @Babyldn really lovely build, red frame with black groupset and silver finishing kit looks lush.

  • This needs a silver seatpost

  • I really, really like this bike.

Selling my hollowgram si chainset if anyone's after one.

  • Morning all - I’ve picked up a caad 10 and looking to find blanking plates to replace the cable guides on the down tube (it has di2) - can’t for the life of me find them online - if anyone could give me a pointer I would be v grateful.

  • On most of the CAAD10 frames they’re not removable.

On some of the later ones with the rear brake going through the headtube they had a removable cable stop on the chainstay but I think the DT/HT ones were still fix.

The di2 CAAD10 models came with no stops at all.

There’s no part code so they probably don’t exist
