the college minibus when i was a student was a VW LT35 the engine sounded really sweet like a V6 or V8, made such a nice growly noise, 2nd gear was wonderful tons of torque and could pull right the way through the rev range. often thought about getting the engine in one of those put into a car, which almost certainly was a stupid idea but seemed like a good idea at the time
