Does anyone have any inspiration or search terms for a TV unit built into the alcove of a normal 4x4 room with a fireplace on one side.
Basically something that is not this sort of thing
All the images I find seem like their designed to make you cry about your average home so you'll pay someone some money to do something for you.
Cheers.

One for the lurking architects.... I need to write a recommendation letter but don't know where to start - everything I produce looks like it was written by my 6 year old (I type like I speak cause dyslexia). Can someone point me towards a good example please?

Wall lights (up & downlighters), both indoor & outdoor; as a neurotic ponce, what should I be looking for?
Hate everything I’ve found so far…

We have a combination of anglepoise type 75, Flos glo ball, Santa&Cole - that gives quite a nice mix of light types. Outside light went for some Lisilux ones

Thanks! :) Much appreciated.
Send me a PM if you see something you like, happy to help out with 'SWARF Hardware' - I can sort a forum discount code.
The hooks are more like a knob, but the Meteor and Hobson versions work well for that. We use them at home for that. -

We’ve changed our minds about cladding the whole front of the house and the idea of faux barn aesthetic and embrace the extended 60’s build it is.
With that in mode the new plan is;
Paint the oak door sunflower yellow (we like the shape and design just not the finish) (kettle for inspiration)
Render the recessed porch(?) bit and paint the whole thing in the same yellow including the ceiling. (I wanted high gloss tiles, but have been overruled)
Replace the terracotta floor tiles on the step with black slate to the ground.
Build simple wooden rectangular planters to go under each window, stained black.
Board and batten clad the set back extension, stained black.
Stain log store black.
Put up 3 scaffolding poles to finally fit the sail car port thing we’ve had forever.
And then relax as if.
Any thoughts, advice or ideas great fully appreciated.
