haha! please do find the time!! :)
You have a different fork (whats the max tire you can use? ) and i prefer your handlebar and hood position, on my bike i am putting massive pressure on my hands....need to work on thatfunny thing, i ALSO HAVE A PAIR OF COSMIC WHEELS LIKE YOU!!!! :) rubbing spoke and rims produce an anoying sound, do you have the same "problem"? a drop of grease fixes this for a while!!
i dont like triple cranks visually...but its working flawless!

This one came with DP18s just like yours! These wheels took a bash in a house move and are so far out of whack I can’t actually turn the rear without hitting the stay so can offer no opinions on how they ride, but they’re definitely on their way out (hairline cracks at eyelets) so I imagine they make all kinds of awful noises once they’re turning.
The forks say look so I assume they’re original, room for 25s easy but not sure how much more.

i am no expert on anything really, i am always halfbodging crap and reusing stuff but i can tell you the hubs on the cosmic spin forever!! was amazing the first time i used them,

Anyone used a normal stem in place of their Aerostem?
-
• #3256
Splitter!
-
• #3257
I did use a zipp stem for a short while on my 695, without using any adaptors.

How did you secure the top cap?
-
• #3259
What is this?

I’ve used a very slim expander, I think made for 1” steerers.
I’ve tightened it just enough to grip on the inside of the steerer!

Imagine or link to expander?
-

Yes for years now. Adjustable angle specialised one. No top cap, just a rubber bung to keep the rain out.
-
• #3263
You have a picture of it?
-
• #3264
Here you go. The look stem didn’t use a bung, and the inside isn’t circular so I assume it’s fine.

Unfortunately not, I just used one of the few i had lying in my part bin.
As @cjr suggested, the top cap is only there to keep the water out, and not to adjust the headset as the bearings are pre-loaded.
Just make sure not to over tight the stem bolts, as the forces will be unevenly distributed on the steerer. -

Perhaps I'm a bit thick or plain stupid, but how is the angle adjustable on that stem?

Perhaps I'm a bit thick or plain stupid
Nah, it's just slightly non obvious from the outside. They're essentially 1.25" stems sleeved down to 1.125" with various sleeves which are bored off axis

The mount to the steerer is oversized and you get different angled shims to choose from. I like them and based on no facts, I feel the shim helps spread the clamping pressure rather than just pinching at the bolts.

Thanks to the both of you for sharing this wisdom, never knew this was a thing. I will be googling for the remainder of the evening to see if they look chunkier.

They look just the same to me. Not like a chunky sprint stem.

• #3271
I have one on a steel frame with 1 1/8" steerer, looks fine

I actually need a brush like that, struggling to remember where that one is, or if I even owned it or was just delivering…

Or Harry Potter cosplaying

I’d check it’s not on the bike still, considering how seamless the integration is it could be easy to miss.
Twins! This one needs some love to get it back on the road but haven’t found the time.
