Failte! I’ve bought Maj’s sim works risers so progress
My thinking so far
1x11 set up (microspline freehub too punchy)
M7000 - should I go lower to save cash? I don’t know about MTB groups
11-46 on the rear
Wolftooth 38 on my old 105 cranksI have some short pull Klampers I had intended for this, but I am second guessing then vs shimano hydraulics if I’m going to do actual riding

I think generally go higher end for shifters, for nicer feel and cheaper for derailleurs as they're more likely to get broken

Unlike with road/drop bar stuff, mtb hydros can be had so cheaply now that it's not really worth getting mechanical anymore

Flat bar hydraulic is so cheap I don't know who would bother with mechanical, maybe very specific cases like very remote touring, or bikes that break apart or something.
I dunno exactly why it is that hydraulic is so crazy expensive on drop bar, I guess the complexity of the shifters and some economies of scale, but even lever only systems like trp hylex seem to cost a million bucks.
Now monitoring this for flat bar updates ;-)
