William Friedkin
He dropped some bangers. To Live And Die In L.A. a personal fave.

Banger indeed. And The French Connection of course. The French Connection 2 was on last night, I’ve never watched it so taped for later this week.

Does anyone know if William Friedkin has died?

Yep. Edited my post. Doh.

Federico Bahamontes, the Eagle of Toledo, 1959 Tour winner and arguably the greatest climber the sport has ever seen, has died aged 95.

DJ Casper, will be doing the Cha Cha Slide a few times today in memory.

Ah, I did wonder why they mentioned him in the commentary the other day. I didn't realise he was still alive to be honest. I've got his biography around here somewhere.

Amazed the last Hawk standing is the one with elephantiasis of the head.

I'm going to hazard Ronnie Hawkins, plus Dr John and Neil Diamond.
I read Robertson's book just recently. His constant self-aggrandisation is a bit hard to take but his recall of detail is astonishing. Such a huge part of that incredible band. Sad loss.

He always struck me as someone who took a bit too much credit for the Band's success.
RIP
