Depends on the characteristics you want. I'd be tempted to start with the front, and make it stiff.
As a rule, when you run at the racetrack you want your front differential to be stiffer than the rear to ensure that the chassis handles well around the corner.

I would have bought two (and am considering it for my TT02B), but failing that... what @Howard said.
Apologies in advance for a possible stupid question.
I am building a TT02, bought an oil diff hop up.
As it's 4wd, do I fit this one in the back or the front? Or should I have bought 2?
I imagine it should be at the back, but not sure what I am basing this on really
