  • It’s quaint but the sequoia is impressive. A short walk is the slightly hokey Tring local history museum which is open on a Saturday, the two decent coffee shops are Culture & Espresso Lounge, Nona’s has great Italian takeaway… Plus Tring Park (adjacent to the NHM) is brilliant but maybe less so when the weather’s against you and the kids run out of steam.
    Edit: Also College Lake is well worth a look as it's on route between the campsite and Tring. They have a mammoth fossil in the floor which was excavated from the quarry. Bring your binoculars for the birds.
