Under no circumstances would I give ANYTHING access to my google account.

If you get stuck, I could turn it into a video for you or take screen grabs next time I do a tape or something? It's pretty simple once you get how Videopad works.
Drop audio file and a static image in top left box. Then add to the timeline. On the timeline, drag the static image with the ] tool so it locks to the end of the audio - otherwise your audio will run out and you'll just have an image or you will lose your image before the audio finishes in the final product.
The go to File > Export Video and I use the YouTube 720p video and then set framerate to 15fps to get the size down coz I only care about audio.

Really appreciate the quick tutorial, it worked a treat and I have uploaded my first video!
I am hoping it may ID a few tunes from the mix, it is a rave we held in 1992. I have most of the tracks on vinyl but am stuck on a few of them.

Links or it didn't happen :)
Nevermind, found it.
Looks like it got 3 tracks. I've found using google live or something like shazam can give better/different results so it's worth trying that too.

Was just about to post it! The recording is shite (so is the MC). I'd like to re-do the set without the MC .
The first track is a new ID for me, I had the other two. Do you think YT will ID any more tracks over time or is that it?

I've not seen it 'add' any new IDs but I've thought about that myself. I presume it only does the one pass when you upload but I'm not sure. I guess I could google it..

That was good fun, knew quite a few of them.

I went through a whole bunch of these videos and while I often recognised the tunes, couldn't name most.

I mainly knew the tracks i physically own

Almost all of my physical media is in Australia - vinyl and CDs. Over here it's mostly mp3s I've bought or ripped from my media (or live sets). I used to be really good with track names and stuff but these days, nup. I can find tracks in mixes I've caned but can't remember their names.

I'm guessing they're not talking about the Rhubarb and Custard gels I use when racing TTs...

I like the Squirt tune. Do you know what the original is?

Ahhh... rhubarb and custards....!!
The couple on there were funny.
I record the tape audio and then use Videopad (free for personal use) to add a static image to it. Then Export it its low res 720p? Youtube preset with 15fps and once I have the .mp4 "video" file I just go into my youtube studio and click Create -> Upload
