If you get stuck, I could turn it into a video for you or take screen grabs next time I do a tape or something? It's pretty simple once you get how Videopad works.
Drop audio file and a static image in top left box. Then add to the timeline. On the timeline, drag the static image with the ] tool so it locks to the end of the audio - otherwise your audio will run out and you'll just have an image or you will lose your image before the audio finishes in the final product.
The go to File > Export Video and I use the YouTube 720p video and then set framerate to 15fps to get the size down coz I only care about audio.

@hippy - How are you uploading your rips to youtube? I was just going to upload one (never done it before) and need to convert it to a video format, are you doing it locally or using an online tool? There seems to be loads of online tools but they need access to your google account.
