I had no idea your surname was Hunt.

First name, Mike. But only on weekends.

My old live-in landlord (a semi retired pornographer) was called Mike Hunt.
I never miss an opportunity to tell people that, as you might imagine.

My next door neighbour had it painted on the roof of his demolition derby car. Obviously as a, I dunno, 15 year old, I thought it was fucking hilarious, which is why I remember it today.

I used to work with a Mike Hunter

Interesting, if a bit shouty. But there's a whole long section on Africa where anybody with a knowledge of U.S./Brit behaviour on that continent is going to say "And this is different to what we do how?".

Used to be friends with a Willy Hunter. Why would a parent do that? At least nickname them Bill.

Worked many years ago in a clothing warehouse with a guy called Dickon.
The manager used to come out of his office at 4:30 pm and throw a broom at him whilst shouting loudly 'Dickon, the floor....'

More news about the US Calvary scout who literally ran into North Korea. However bad he thought he had it in a South Korean prison, things are going to get much, much worse.
I’m not sure what’s worse, the way US soldiers stationed in Asia act or the inability of the local police to clamp down on them. Okinawa constantly has cases of assault and rape from soldiers stationed there and their judicial system has its hands tied when it comes to US soldiers.

Yeah, let's not. Laughing about names in another language having funny meanings in this language is not what we need after the last few pages. Or ever.

A mate from school's dad used to work with a Richard Head who insisted on shortening his first name

40 million lives are at risk because of Russia's blockade of grain ships. https://www.rescue.org/press-release/black-sea-grain-deal-expiration-march-18-puts-more-40-million-lives-risk-east-africa

That’s not including the knock-on effects of richer countries and companies paying more to secure grain wherever it is in the world, leaving poorer people to figure it out for themselves.
-
• #83496
Indeed. There was talk of an international agreement to fix grain prices but it hasn't happened.

Cates seems intent on joining the outrage industry. It's become a guaranteed path to fame and wealth. She needs to get ahead of the other Tory MPs who will need a new job next year.

Early worklife colleagues, Gaynor Hardon at Royal Insurance and Andrew Peacock at Gan.
same journalist, Richard Engels, made this film. basically same material, but worth a watch too. real life now way more interesting and fantastical than the plot of recent Bond movies, & with better bad guys..
