Had some come out of my patio today. So glad they chose me.

Fucking massive swarm of flants over redmires reservoir and Stanage edge tonight. Comical how many were around. Ate one by accident, another bit my lip. Stopped by a column that was so thick you could barely see through it.

Kind of gross but added a novel element to the evening’s ride. Must have ridden over at least a thousand of the buggers.

if you get a big fine mesh net you can catch enough to make into a mushy paste full of protein and then fry in a little oil.
we will all be doing this soon once inflation/drought/food shortages/recession starts to bite.

Went for a walk down by the Clyde at lunchtime. Quite a lot of flants about. Are they early this year?

Not aphids with tree pollen being really high?

Hundreds of the flappy fuckers coming out of a nest under our front door this morning. Came back an hour later and literally not a trace of them, all gone

They're mobilising in SE6 too.
Any one else notice the normal ants seem really spooked when the Flants are on the rise?

saw an flant yesterday, just the one. obviously an individual thinker, a free spirit doing things to the beat of it's own drum, swimming against the current of common flant convention.

Got absolutely dive bombed all the way home until the Waterlink Way after which they disappeared - presumably because they had all crashed into my face by then.
