I’d prefer to keep the two devices separate, just so if one aspect fails you are not paying to replace a two in one device.
Especially as an extractor fan can be much higher than most people install them.

Consensus is unlikely.
I'd hate to lose the under hob storage for utensils, cutlery and plans. Then theres venting which would be awkward in my space.
