I was thinking second hand?
Yeah, either second hand or new with Cycle2work scheme, so either or depending on what I find.
Trek Crockett and Boone both look nice, the Boone was a nice deal as a full build around the 3k mark, but I slept on it and it seems all 56 sold out now.

Seeen that, unfortunately not a 56 or I'd have taken it

I have a 56 Boone that I'll be putting up for sale soon. It's basically brand new, I impulsively bought it in the winter of 2020/21 during lockdown when there was no racing. I don't really need three cross bikes.

Canyon Inflite SL 6 and SL 7 are in stock in M at the moment. I have one, I love it. But if Andy is gonna hook you up even better
-
• #9733
If this wasn't really a 58. It would be a bargain! The UCI sticker tells all (and Paul milnes are pretty up front about it)

All this talk of nice and attractive carbon cx frames is making my head spin.
Canyons aside obv. @youramericanlover

I'm trying to trick myself into racing cross properly this year. I really struggle with the mental attitude for racing nowadays. Just switch off mid race and fade
-

I need to get angry like I was in my late mid to late 20s. Doesn't seem to work any more
-
• #9737
Racing angry must use up so much energy
I can only sustain a tantrum for a maximum of 20 minutes these days before I need to perform a heavy sigh -

Signed up to the skills session tonight at HH so anyone in need of a good laugh
Still looking like I’ll be able to race tomorrow -
• #9739
Well that was good fun. My hire bike wasn’t up to much but for £4 can’t complain.
Sadly missed entry for tomorrow’s race!! :-(
Might come watch depending on domestic situation. -
• #9740
It's a shame there's no entry on the line as the rain tomorrow will put a lot of people who have entries off.
-
• #9741
Yeah I can imagine. Was surprised what I could get up in terms of little short kickers.
Ok to DM you a couple of bikes I’ve seen? -
• #9742
Of course!
-
• #9743
I, for one, can't wait for "summer"cross tonight ¯_(ツ)_/¯
-
• #9744
Bring a spare rear mech!

I'll be riding singlespeed again tonight, anyway.

It's a little too late for the Summercross race tonight, I'll be stuck on some dry tyres, but I am looking for a pair to compliment my Vittoria Terreno Dry.
Does anyone have advice on Terreno Wet vs Terreno Mixed?
I'm running 35mm Dry, should I get a similar width for the Wet/Mixed or narrower/wider? -
• #9749
From my own personal experience I'd go with the mixed, they're very capable over a wide range of conditions and fast. The muds are great but tend to clog up with mud very quickly .
I use the specialized terra for really muddy conditions -

Yeah officially declaring my interest now
