Not surprising that it flew under the radar given (gestures at the world), but pushing the US further into dystopia is the State of Tennessee, that in 2022 made it a felony to camp without authorisation on state or local land. Basically: protesting or homeless? Gtfo or spend 6 years in prison providing nearly free labour for corporations, with the benefit of destroying your future prospects and increasing your odds of returning to prison.
Technically police have to give 24 hours notice, but there’s ways and means of giving notice without the recipient realising, so that’s a deceiving requirement.
