Just to let people know that all the hardware is on the way for these. Thanks to brexit I have an extra Β£55 to pay on top of the cost of the buckles.
Unfortunately they never seem to be in stock with the UK supplier either. π -

Too late to get on the list or does anyone wish to pullout (fnar) ?
-
• #655
It's cool, feel free to add yourself and send PayPal. I deliberately ordered enough for a couple of extras.

No the extra charge is for the Cobras for the first batch.
I'm hoping I'm still registered with AustriAlpin, but they increased their MOQ to crazy amounts when I last used them. -
• #662
Is it worth dropping them an email to see if they'll do you an exception for a while whilst you get everything up and running with small runs that will hopefully lead to bigger runs in the future? Sometimes there's nice people at the other end of big distributors.
-
• #663
Don't forget I started using Austrialpin products about 15 years ago so believe me...I've tried all that. They even apologised for the fact it makes it impossible for small makers to buy direct from them like they used to at the start. π

There was a time when there was only about three of us using their buckles on bags...then the more press the bags got, the more the bigger bag companies moved in to put them on their deluxe models and the higher the MOQ's got.
-
• #665
Fair enough, it's a shame they're bastards.
-
• #666
That's a bit pish and its not as if they are cheap either so to have loads of money tied up in them at this stage isnt the best.
Maybe a shop could do a deal if your buying a lot.

Buckles are here now, and the first few triangle carabiners, so I'll be getting onto these inbetween working this weekend.
-
• #668
Good news!

Excellent, I admire your energy. As I get older, the energy for modern life isn't as strong as it used to be but you're still out there grinding away. Respect.

Oh believe me, grinding is the right word. After spending the morning building my new DJ console, I had to stop halfway to force myself to eat, before going out in 40kph winds to work for four hours, come back home, eat some more, then start painting the DJ console...which I'm still doing now. Tomorrow will be much the same.
It might look like I just get on with things on the outside, but I'm still a mess inside...still self harm...still think way too many bad thoughts etc
The good thing is that the reason I haven't done anything 'final' is because I'm determined to actually finish some things in my life before I do. There are things I want to finish, and feel proud of, so until I achieve those things I should hopefully still be around...but I won't pretend I have a single day where I'm actually happy. Some thought always stops that being the case. -

this is scary to read...try to be strong and know that you can always count with your friends! You are doing awesome and hard work with your brand! keep it up!!

Just to say - I used to put my girlfriend in mine. It was one of the pre-BRP scottnotscot bags though... 15 years later, I still have the bag, it's still going strong, and I can still put my girlfriend in it. But with all those years, I had to make some adjustments: it's a new girl now.
Scott - all my love from France, you came and stayed with me back in the day shortly before you made the move down south. And if you wanna come and stay sometime in France, well, you'd be more than welcome :) Stay strong and keep up the good thoughts, and I hope to see you again soon.

Cheers man, much appreciated!

Oh I remember staying and appreciate your kindness. One thing I always remember about staying with you is flicking through your records and finding the excellent '1980' album by Gil Scott-Heron. π
I think it was the weekend of the forum Monopoly ride? Or definitely one of the rides.
Those were the days eh. π -

Just letting people know I haven't forgotten these, all the parts are here now, so they'll all be finished this weekend for postage on Monday.
I had a bit of a crash last Sunday so my hands haven't been much use this week. π
Sorry, had a few cash flow issues (bought too many fucking bikes and bike parts this year, like every other dumbass on this website) but just paid now
