I ordered my 24" through this place;
https://www.cheapgoodsbmx.com/framesI don't know how they did it, but despite me ordering the Frame, cranks, BB, headset and brake, I didn't get charged any import tax. Worked out sooo cheap (sorry UK bike industry).

The Park FR-8 is supposed to fit bmx flip flop freewheels but it does not fit mine. That is, did not fit. Amazing how far rage and a dremel will get you.

Blimey! It looks like it didn't fit by a mile! I was thinking of getting one of these too - as I'll need to switch out a rear cog sooner or later. Last time I thought about it, I think I was looking at one from Condor cycles.

I somehow acquired a speedwagon (a mate was selling it and it was too good a deal to pass up). Another one for the shed LOL!!

That's a good looking bike!

The tabs look a little wide, they’d need to be 5mm or so, for my freewheel anyway.

This looks 🔥
Do you know what size it is? -

Since moving to Sheffield I've pulled the little wheels (well 22", so not that little) out of storage. The legendary Bolehills has been a great place to blow the dust off. Pic attached is by resident photographer Baybutt.

It's long. 21.75" from memory. My buddy has a custom version which is 22" - and with a longer back end too!

I'm on the lookout for a 10mm axle rear wheel. Cheap is fine, would like something nice though.

I'm looking to pick up a Bmx to have fun on tearing round my local BMX track. I figured it's a good way to have fun on a bike and have a bit of a workout when stuck in a city. I've not bmx-d much before, instead spending most of my cycling life gravel /mtb-ing. I'm hoping to pick up something second hand. Anyone got any advice on what sort of BMX to go for? I'm 6 foot 4 so do I need to try and get a particular size?

What sort of budget are you thinking? An aluminium race bike would be cool and would let you have fun at the track and cruising through the city.
I don't know a lot about them but this looks cool
Also this?
Given you're tall, I think they make 24" race bikes but perhaps a 22" cruiser could be good enough?

Thanks for the response ! - perhaps 22 or 24'' is the way to go. Do I need to worry about frame size as well or is that not a thing. Budget I was hoping to get something for under 200 but dunno how realistic that is.
I did see this the other day. Does this look like the sorta thing? (bit above budget but maybe I can bring him down a bit)

A longer toptube will be better both for a taller rider but will also make it more stable for a jump/race bike so you'd benefit from that for sure. At your height an XL or XXL seems like a sensible decision but I'm basing that on a quick Google rather than experience. Honestly, I don't really have experience with race BMXs, but if you're just looking to whip about on the pump/race track then it seems like the right choice.
That Haro looks sweet, probably better than the Redline XL I linked since it's XXL.

I just bought a full size bmx in 650B; it’s a load of fun to bomb around on, though a bit of a pig with its typical lead pipe (albeit cromo) construction.

The sort of terrible decisions I usually make are buying a bike purely because it has purple profile hubs

My BMX has gotten very rusty because the previous owner sanded it raw but didn't seal it so I've decided to do a mini project, strip it down, sand the frame and cranks, use rust converter to make the rust inert, then spray the frame the same colour as my MX5, Chaste White, and spray the cranks black again.
I'm terrible at taking photos, but so far I've serviced the rear hub and cleaned the rear wheel, stripped the bike down to just the frame and cranks still together. The Twombolt crank arm doesn't want to come off the wedge so I'm just waiting for a bearing puller to arrive so I can get it off and start the next stage.

Bearing puller worked but destroyed the wedge. Not a problem though, £20 for a new one and easier that's sacrificed than the cranks being fucked.

I've not ridden a BMX since about 2012, but browsing this thread has taken me back. So many frames I lusted after as a teenager/student.
Getting tempted...even if it's to ride the thing once, get carried away and see if can still whip, roll my ankle, cry, and put it in a corner never to be retrieved.

I'll do a full spec of mine when I've built it back up but I was very happy to recently find someone selling OG Scerbo 4pc bars so I bought those and some used Odyssey R32 forks to replace the cracked chrome Shadow Conspiracy forks that came with the bike.
It was riding really nice so I thought it deserved a little rebuild/refresh.
Can't believe how much and how easily these bikes pop compared to the stuff I rode. I thought it would take ages to get back into street riding but even just nibbling here and there I'm getting back into a groove. I just need to get hop bars back and then I feel like I'll be at a suitable dad level.
4down have them in stock. Not cheap though!
