How are people watching the tour?

I'm lacking terrestrial TV, and discovery+ is awful even though I want to use the Eurosport player.

Caveats:

1. I'm in the USA for a week of the tour
   
2. I don't have a TV package with my internet
   
3. Eurosport player is good, but discovery+ is awful... Can never guarantee this will work
   
4. GCN should be good but it's just awful, the apps are terrible
   
5. That USA bit... How are people watching regardless of location?

I've been using Discovery+ for a while after being forced over from Eurosport and have found it completely fine, what are you finding you don't like about it?

Android app is a bit clunky, it doesn't work when I'm traveling, the discovery+ sport package thing didn't manage to apply last year and I ended up paying 6 months without ever getting it working (so didn't see anything of the tour). If I could directly pay for Eurosport I'd do it and would figure out how to stream it from home to wherever I'm traveling, but since it went discovery I've actually not watched the tour 🤷

How are people watching the tour?

ITV4 (You could probably watch it on their streaming service with VPN?)
or GCN website/app if I'm not at home.

ITV4. I will probably go insane after about a week. I randomly have an itv subscription so at least I’ll be able to watch highlights without adverts.

I’ve had no issues with discovery+ on iOS/Apple TV, but I realise that doesn’t help you… can you try through a web browser if the android app is clunky?

i believe tiz-cycling.io does live streams, and always uploads the full race afterwards. your next best option is to sign up for the peacock app (nbc). its like $5 a month, and you can cancel at any time. i buy it for the tour and cancel it afterwards.

Watching via the GCN+ app on Android and it's fine (tablet and phone). Switch to French commentary mostly as almost all the GB commentators annoy the shit out of me.
