I struggle with how they've messed this up.
Episode 5 is also by far the closest the show has ever been to the books, not just in the plot but the narrative structure. Now, I don't mind adaptations bringing their own approach and ideas, but this suggests that their own ideas and approach are just bad.
With Cavill leaving at the end of this season, they may be royally fucked.

They had everything they need for a solid series with a story to follow. Or even just a 'monster of the week' one off stories approach.
Instead they've made an absolute mess of it.
