Microshift shifting because I like the look of the derailleur, and everyone wants 50€ for their banged up 11 speed Shimano product and I don't have time.
Basic Shimano with 4 finger levers because longer levers look better on bars with sweep.

There's black 170mm LX cranks that will probably get a purple danish hipster chainring. Or gold.
Because black is sold out and boring.
Waiting on black sun something 11-50 cassette, hope the derailleur will cope.
Also on its way are stupid pedals and a selection of towny bars. Plus an ugly ztto stem because short steerer. -

26 because it's the new thing.
Edit because forum doesn't agree and makes 26. Into 1.

I am eyeing up a retro White Industries crankset. The one made by Sugino (for Marin?). I want to run them on a single speed so chainline is important. I can't find any info about recommended bb spindle length or chainline though. Does anybody know?

I had them on my Marin Bear Valley SE with a 113 bb and they were snug and had a good chainline in the middle ring for a SS setup.

Mounting Chorus ergos onto USE Summit bars. I'm trying to get the BDHU right, whilst also taking advantage of the dip in the bars which accommodates the heel of the hand. Does this look about right?

Cool paint! Extreme power😎
Needs more bdhu so the ends of the bar are horizontal -
• #131240
It's not possible, the dip is in the wrong place. I have those bars

I think I'd move the levers a smidge up but doesn't look bad. Bike looks great too. The usual trick is holding a ruler along the underside of the drops and making the end of the levers level.

nice build ! with an ElPolo feel

Nice frame that.
How extreme is your power? -

Those pedals weigh a ton, but they're fun and legal.

I got a DiNucci a while ago I am planning to build up this summer. Time-correct would be 7400 6/7 speed Dura Ace, but I am thinking to go non period-correct, focussing on what works well. For example 7800 dual-caliper, 7410 seat post and Record carbon brake-levers. Aero dt-shifter are set since they came with the frame and fit the aero braze ons. Still undecided on wheelset since the frame is 126mm. Thinking either 7400 hubs or 6401, which has the benefit of hyperglide despite being 126mm, so 8 of 9 or 9 of 10 would work.
Unsure of headset: black seems to blend in with the frame. silver seems to stand out too much. any opinions?

Instead of the 7410 cranks in the photoshoped mock up, I´ve got a pair of silver PMP micro road in my parts bin together with the fitting BB. I hope that wouldn´t look too chuncky.

My "I don't need more than one bike" partner gets a second bike because I like putting stuff together and I have like too many of those already.
She currently rides the mixte I built a long time ago which has all but the frequently requested full chainguard bolted to it. Apart from that and a mirror nothing sensible could be added.
It's a basic steel frame, basic wheels, and with all the sensible stuff it's heavy.
So my brief was silver frame black parts from her, and try to make it on the lighter side of things from me.
Started with a 15€ never used no name aluminium frame that might work out.
Missed awesome syntace segmented carbon forks, got those from a Ku kids 26 bike.
Looks like they fit. Steerer is short so low stack cc headset is on its way.
Nice wheelset from Kleinanzeigen, not really weight weenie but kind of glad about it bc this means I don't have to buy a ta titanium BB.
