  • Do you still have all the snapped pieces? If so, it’s highly likely to be made of polypropylene plastic, which responds very well to being glued with cyanoacrylate with accelerant.

Look for a moulded mark indicating material, something like ‘>PP<‘ for polypropylene.

  • Fnar pp

  • Unlikely to be Filtered Natural Anal Ragu, that stuff’s expensive.

  • Before Australia's second innings started, their target of 281 was was said to be very difficult. But they got 386 in their first innings...what makes the second one so much harder?

Edit: apparently it's because of pitch deterioration.

  • Cheers everybody on this. I think doubled over webbing will be the one to go with as cheapest/easiest.

I do have the pieces but given she's managed to break it already I can imagine any repair won't last that long.

  • WHT?
Polypropylene is notoriously difficult (but not impossible) to glue.
Accelerant has nothing whatsoever to do with adhesion.
Using Polyolefin primer which will change the molecular structure of the surface of the plastic, does.
Seat belt fabric, as has been mentioned, could work well here. @aggi I have 2-part fabric rivets here with heads that are around 11mm diameter which could work well. DM me if you are interested.

  • Does any of this has owt to do with why it was so difficult to epoxy my fancy sunglass frames back together? I think it was it was because it was so difficult to hold them in place without the time or patience to do it by hand, but some material science facts might help with a better glue.

  • Could be the materials but from my experience with modelling it's probably a surface area problem. You can help it by pinning. Drill a small hole in each side and glue a thin metal rod between them. I use a thick paperclip or staple.

  • I've done that on other stuff but there's way too little material and I've already got a little bit of shit on the lense, I'll have another bash but may have to give up. They lasted longer then I thought and had a few little scratches that annoyed my good eye already so maybe it was time.

  • Have Audi drivers been surpassed as the biggest cunts on the road by drivers of Mercedes EQCs and Jaguar EV400s?

  • Also no here.

But I'm living in part of the world that's probably at least a decade behind current trends. But Audi's (especially white and/or SUV variants) are peak pricks at this point in time.

  • Depends what part of the world you're in. If you're near Regends Park the Volvo XC90 will be the worst offender. If you're on the m6 BMWs still seem to own the crown. And for some reason the second you cross the border to Wales everyone stops using their indicators.

    Uses too much battery.

  • Interesting regional differences.

  • Stamford Hill: various JDM people carriers.

E10/E11: Cross dudes in battered Yarises.

    E8/E9: mums in Nissan Juke/Qashqais.

  • These are the bastards here

  • Got any lentils?

  • Didn't know you lived in my ends

  • This is the street next to mine and I think this was taken at midday because in the afternoon it's worse. All these people have a driveway + garage they just chose not to use it.

  • It is impressive how the XC90 has moved the perception of Volvo drivers from safe and sensible to oblivious dicks.

An honorable mention for Teslas too. I suspect they may have picked up a large chunk of the company car crowd from BMWs and Audis.

  • meteoblue leaves me wondering what are the designs saying? (The one two three or four blue or greyed arrows)

  • I believe that it is giving you an estimate of their confidence in the forecast. More blue circles with an arrow, higher confidence.

  • I had my 'reading' glasses reglazed as my prescription has changed but the frames are fine. However the case they came with two years ago is knackered so I need a new one of them.

Does someone make awesome glasses cases?
