H&H.

Did you change the sleeve? or even tighten the rear bolt?
-
• #13731
I skimmed and can't find it again.... so sorry for asking a question that has been asked plenty of times.
S-Stem, plus Joseph Kuosac Mid Rise Handlebars plus Mid-Length brake cables will give me a little more height at the front without the need for a new stem.
Is that right?
-
• #13732
"When fitted to an S type stem the height position is the slightly above an M type. – Use H type cables."
-
• #13733
yep, thats what I have

I think I read someone say that info was inaccurate on SJS.
-
• #13735
Amazing.
Thanks.
I'll do that! -
• #13736
Correct. I've just done this and it's a bit higher than M-stem plus M-bar.
Also M-type cables, as Kuosac recommended, were fine.

I’m having the same problem. Does anyone have a solution?

Boss.
Thanks for the hive mind confirmation. -
• #13739
Boring question here from a new owner, does the high bar option still come with the standard seat post height, or the extended version? Thanks.
-
• #13740
Turn the seatpost upside down and tap out the old sleeve with the bottom flared section!
-
• #13741
Std unless specified

I wrote the original description, it’s been changed since I left sjs. M type cables are correct, I have fitted this combo to tens of bikes

It’s not “difficult” but you need to know what your doing, have the right tools, know what to check for etc.. same as most mechanical jobs I guess

Many thanks.

What’s the hive mind verdict on those H&H mini rack things? Wondering if being able to roll the folded Brompton is going to be useful or not…
-
• #13746
Thanks as always.
-
• #13747
I’ve got one, and does make it easier to roll. Caveat, I’ve got a kinesics disk modded frame so went for the mini rack as it seemed to have more adjustment/ability to bend so it’d fit the wider o.l.d. It does mean it’s a little wonky, but still does the job.
I have found that I wish the wheels were slightly wider as it’s a little unstable when fully folded, but have also put thst down to me having an alfine in there which throws the whole centre of balance off (along with the extra width)

Looks tidy!

I've got an Ali Express one. Definitely makes it much easier to wheel around and more stable when folded.

Is it just me that finds the little hump by the crank on the folding pedal destroys your shoes?
Would I enjoy removable pedals more and if so what’s the cheapest and best option?
A fine beast - pedal ID pls !?
