Last summer I bought really racing-y Belgian carbon cross bike for next to nothing, considering it was barely ridden, came with Ultegra and was, well, full carbon. It came with cantis.
I rode it and on the my first proper downhill (as in going down the road, not trying to break my neck in the woods somewhere) I immediately realized why it was sold for next to nothing.
Three months later I sold it for next to nothing and bought absolutely run of the mill alu Giant with proper brakes.

Why cantilever and v brakes? There must be a reason since it’s a posh build.
