I ain't saying it's right, just confused why so many would think they can do that.

A lot of bike riders are thick as mince.

One of the riders is belgian and his excuse is peer pressure. He didn't mean to do it and is dissapointed. :big-rolleyes:

After a disappointing day yesterday, where his GC ambitions went up in smoke, pesky VCL kid, Lukas Nerurkar, wins the fifth stage of the Baby Giro.

Sounds like Magnus Sheffield crashed on todays descent but nothing coming from any official channels. Hope he’s ok.

Giro Mader is reported to have crashed heavily too.

Fingers crossed that both escaped relatively unscathed.

On their twitter - he's abandoned but no further news on how he is.

Inner Ring reporting that Mader was airlifted to hospital after crashing into a ravine. Sheffield was involved in the same crash and was taken by ambulance to hospital.

The very high number of marshals waving and whistling on the descent was however most impressive.

Swiss TV are reporting he’s in a stable condition, so fingers crossed that is accurate.

Sounds grim. The statement is he was laying motionless and unresponsive in the water at the bottom of the ravine. Sheffield, at least, walked up to the ambulance.
