The gooseneck was always the bit that shit me up at Cadwell. Oft were the times I ended up going down the hill on the grass. Happy days.

@Jung thanks chief. The plan was to fit decent stuff the first time, even if it takes a little longer. Once it's all sorted I'll never get my money back, so probably a keeper.
@Chak that sounds great, would love that. If I don't finish the SRAD in my lifetime my unborn children will be happy to facilitate.

Well, that will sort out the front end. Brakes feel so much better. Now sporting:
- GSXR 750 K5 forks
- Brembo M4 calipers
- Brembo RCS 19 M/C
- EBC X discs
- Hel brake lines
- Carbon mudguard
- Ti hardware

This bike has a strong OEM+ look that's very hard to beat.

It’s looking so good.
A white or matching blue front fender would be more cohesive but the carbon one is pretty fancy.

Thanks both. @Soul interesting point, the original one was a fake carbon (black too) but I totally see what you mean. Almost feel like the shape is half of the 'problem'. Will sleep on this one. Thanks for not mentioning the cable tie, was too excited to ride the thing.
Somebody online mentioned that I might need slightly longer caliper spacers for the 320mm discs. If there's a way to check this without phoning Brembo I'm all ears! I'm currently running 10mm spacers.

Looks like you've got a couple of mm of untouched rotor on the inside edge already, no? You wouldn't want to move the pads even further away

Hasn’t spotted the cable ties. 😡
Shape might have something to do with it but I think the black just doesn’t work with the white wheels given the rest of the bikes colour-way.
It’s only a minor gripe though. Overall I have massive bike envy.

Looks mega close on the inside though. I’d have thought equal spacing = extra 2-5mm spacer.

matching blue front fender
+1
The dark blue though.

Perfect! This thread doesn't help though in my want for a motorbike :'-(

Super progress here! Bike is looking absolutely delish!
Am also keen for Lufguss on track day if it can be somewhere that does rental and offers training! I did Rally School of Ireland recently in cars and it's given me a powerful grá for a motorbike trackday!

Thanking you. I've poured too much money and time into the SRAD now, so may as well keep going. I'm getting married is September so that's taking over slightly, but next will be the swingarm swap over the winter then some events and track days in 2024. Would love to go to Suzuki Live this month at Cadwell Park, but life is quite busy at the moment.

Does sound like a GSXR owner to be fair. Not much has been happening on the SRAD recently, just collecting the odd titanium nut or bolt but almost looking forward to the winter strip down.

With the bike well and truly tucked up for winter I fitted a GSXR 1000 K5 swingarm. Ordinarily it would have been straightforward but being me decided to get the matching rear caliper cerakoted, rebuilt with new seals, stainless pistons, titanium bolts and new EBC HH pads.
I took the opportunity to change to 520 pitch with new chain and sprockets. Whilst getting some bits cerakoted the swingarm pivot bushes were done and fitted titanium pivot nuts. The shock linkage was also vapour blasted, new roller bearings fitted and again posh titanium bolts.

Good lord man, you need a YouTube channel for this level of dedication.

I know cerakote is very trendy at the minute but it's only a brand name FYI, not a miracle material. It's slightly more durable than paint but not as durable as powdercoat.
That said, updates look great -

Another job I've been meaning to sort for ages was the tail-tidy wiring. Eight wires all different lengths are now one deutsch connector for removing the undertray quickly. Ahhh that's better.

Lufguss track day, don't mind if I do.
