  • Anyone after a ‘hard core’ hardtail, size M Ragley Mmmbop. Recently had new BB, Derailleur, wheelset & tyres. Good entry level into bike parks ect….

Easy to keep up with people on fancy full sus going downhill, not very good at flat XC

  • Looks quite fun. How much is such a machine? Probably a bit too much down hill and not enough XC actually.

  • It’s actually much better at being pedalled with the new wheels and tyres (set up tubeless obv) it had WTBs with Maxxis Minions and tubes originally

Was thinking around starting of at £700 mark. No idea if I’d get that though, open to suggestions of price.

  • I know it’s very unlikely but if you’ll be in the vicinity of Leogang on Sunday 18th June and don’t already have DH World Cup tickets, I have 2 that I won’t be able to use.

We were going to be staying in Kitzbühel but my busted collarbone means we’ve cancelled the trip.

Tickets are entry only, no lift pass and they both have my name on but presumably they don’t care about the name as I bought them for my wife and I but both said my name?

Anyway, yours if you can use em.

  • Holy shit that is a lot fun! And ski lifts make it even better🤣. Together with my best friend I’ve ridden all the blue beginner lines multiple times today. 140/140 is just enough travel to keep my body from aching too much at the end of the day. Witnessing two bad crashes put us with both our feet on the ground again and we ended the day with two nice and mellow rides down ‘Snowwhite’. Half a day in the morning before we head back to The Hague again tomorrow. Greetings from two very stoked bikepark newbs 😅

  • If that was anything to go by, this DH season is going to be insane... 🤯

  • It just about pickled my brain but I got a coil shock on a Fuel EX...why? Im bored and injured.

Think I need a slightly heavier coil number, bit soft for the sag...500lb coil just now, would a 550lb coil be a big jump or a teeny jump for those who have been through this minefield?

  • Would a Sprindex fit in there?

  • Put your details into multiple coil calculators and see what comes out, there may be some crossover and you can get the coil it suggests. However, from experience, you will still end up buying at least 3 springs to find the one that feels right. That's fine, sometimes you want to make the bike feel stiffer, sometimes you want mor sag.

Also, ignore the actual amount of sag. That's just a byproduct number that comes out once you find a spring that feels right.

  • Apparently it does. Do you recommend?

If I understand correctly it can make your current coil, that is not right but not far off, right.

Edit: Ah no it comes with the coil...so have to be ball park. Expensive ol' trial and error game this.

  • Tbf out of 4 calculators its telling me I have the right spring already.

    I'll get out eventually.....

  • Yep, you get coil and collar as a unit, there's a guide here to choosing which one, but you can then use the collar to literally dial in the correct spring weight.

  • Think I got my money's worth out of these Hi Rollers

  • Pfft that's got years left in it.

  • Haha maybe but that could also be why my front felt a bit squirrelly in Morzine last July (which is the last time I rode this).

In fact the bike still had the sandy dirt from the PDS downhill trails on it when I dragged it out of the garage yesterday.

  • It's still got rubber moulding marks down the middle, that's basically new!

  • I was quite impressed that given I last topped up the sealant for my alps trip in June 2022 that there was still plenty of liquid inside when I removed it yesterday and it hadn't all dried up

  • Coil got fucked back in the box and I put the air shock back on. Threw a hissy fit trying to get any type of difference out of the HSC LSC HSR LSR then the climb switch came loose and that was it. A 130 rear trail bike does not need a coil shock.

    Anyone want it?

  • A 130 rear trail bike does not need a coil shock.

What about a 115 mm bike?

  • Crying out for it, clearly.

  • Remember to keep an eye out for ticks folks. I found this dude on me after this evening's MTB ride.

  • Gross. I hate ticks, they are super disgusting. Thinking about them makes me want to stay indoors for the rest of time.

  • Soon
