Looks banging! What's the "meaty" stuff? Seitan? On BBQ number 4 of the year over here. Got some mates visiting so going all out and showing off. Sweet potato with miso butter, sweetcorn, "chicken' and mushroom skewers, marinated tofu, loads of fun salads. I bloody love a BBQ.

We've also been bbq-ing aplenty, made this potato salad tonight, it was excellent:

It was all super simple! I'm sure someone in here recommended the sweet potatoes ages ago, they're always the highlight.

Very well! It's some mates who've been on tour with their band for the last week. I think they were just happy to have something warm and vaguely nutritious.

B12 ... talk to me. Dr says I'm "very low" and has prescribed tablets. Apart from seeds, leafy greens and nutritional yeast* is there anything else (vegan obvs) I need to make sure I'm eating?
*Which I already eat

Oatly is fortified with it. I tend to drink it in my teas and coffees and I think I get most of my b12 from that. (I drink 3 cups of coffee and 4 or 5 cups of tea a day and go through quite a lot of Oatly)

Thanks for the corn ribs suggestion. I made a huge amount of them, coated in this sachet of smoky mexican seasoning and rubbed it in with rapeseed oil: https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/seasoning/creative-cook-mexican-inspired-smoky-seasoning-25g
browned them on all sides, they were delicious. We put them in tupperware and ate them all week.
Alongside that made some Moving Mountains burgers which barbecued really well, some portabello mushrooms and barbecued fresh pineapple slices.

Another +1 for Oatly.
Oatly+whole peanut butter+ripe banana+cacao powder=greatest smoothie ever.

Thanks all for the B12 suggestions. We normally have the organic oatly which isn't fortified, but I think I just assumed it was. Oops.
Off to check if there is another one with just oats, water and salt plus goodness. Try to avoid the added oils where we can... Hmm not looking promising but the chocolate oatly is fortified so maybe I can justify it to my wife now? -

If your not averse to supplementing via a tablet form, Vegan Vitality do a daily multivit with B12, D3, Iodine and a ton of other essentials in...

Well I'm on a B12 tablet prescription now so that should help but I need to change something to keep levels healthy once they run out. I've got about 3 months to do that and make it a part of my lifestyle before the next Dr appt.
Read so much conflicting stuff about supplements it's hard to know whether I'm paying for nutritious pee or actually worth it but happy to give anything a go.
Certain veg are fantastic charred or grilled - spring onions, broccoli, asparagus, lettuce, large mushrooms, courgette etc are favourites here, season and add some decent oil (cold pressed oil seed rape oil, olive oil). Grill needs to be hot and be patient, wait for the char lines and resist the urge to keep checking or moving them around.
Can then be drizzled with a dressing such as tahini loosened with citrus juice/water or a salsa verde
Whole bulbs of garlic smoked in oil until soft and spreadable
BBQ sauces are easily made vegan - ketchup with added soy sauce, molasses, chilli, garlic ginger
