OMFG I just looked up the email and I bought the magnets in 2015, I am a useless cunt. It was these... 20mm dia x 3mm thick N35 Neodymium Magnet - 3.6kg Pull ( Pack of 10 )
I've still got them, and the wood, and the wall fixings, and the modified Forstner drill bit to make the holes. I just never, you know how it is, finished it.
