Pajero Evolution, proper Dakar pedigree. I was lucky enough to get a ride in one a while back on closed roads. Rapid is a gross understatement!

I've just seen one of these on my dog walk. A Mitsuoka Roadster but I thought it was one of Bernie and Leepu's concoctions. I did a quick Google and the reviews aren't too bad as it's a stretched MX5. Not for me though and the MOT was expired, tut tut

Visiting my parents and looking at old photos. No Alfas, alas, but similar red car old photo vibes.

They sound great being thrashed, but even sound good in traffic. Saw this one earlier in the week, the owner clearly adores it. Those wheels look so tiny, like its running on skateboard wheels.
I love the red and gold gaudy paint job, but if you find that a bit much look away now, as this E-type with a Jason King cravat paint job almost made me vom on my shoes.
To refresh the palette here's a DS with whitewalls, what's not to like.

Silly question on that Lotus Cortina.....where do you put the petrol in?

At a garage :)
As the boot is not shutting properly and it has a roll cage I'm guessing it has some sort of racing tank inside somewhere.

There were some very nice cars yesterday at Sport et Collection at the Circuit Val de Vienne,

I had a piece of flying black plastic smack my windscreen on the motorway yesterday, which was a bit of a surprise...
However, on arrival at my destination, it turns out this was the plastic grille insert from the front of my '59 E90 that had bounced across the bonnet and off the windscreen.
Easy enough to get a new one slapped in, but the check engine lights also come on. I don't have a codereader at the minute (one on the way), but does it seem plausible that the light would just be for a missing bit of trim? I can't see any sensors around the grille.
Wondering whether it'll be ok to drive in the meantime.

The tank is in the boot, it is an Alan Mann ford cortina

Could be that something went pop and took the trim with it?

That DS looks good with white wall tyres.

Is that an SM car carrier? Not sure of the proper term.
-
• #74845
Yeah - must be something like that, nothing visible though , it's just the radiator a few inches behind it that looks fine. No 'active grilles' on mine that are mentioned elsewhere.
I guess the easiest / most prudent thing to do is to leave it until I can read the codes

Yep, maybe open the bonnet and see if there is anything untoward.

think the classic car season is definitely upon us. I just drove past this beautiful Alvis on my way home near Bury St Edmunds. remembered the reg so I could look it up when I got home. I thought it was an Alvis but wasn't sure.
the green colour is just amazing. and though this era of car don't really do it for me (this is a 1967) I was pretty gobsmacked. so classy.
