R60/6 barn find is cleaning up well , so much crap in the tank and fuel system.
I found some service history in the owners booklet ..last services 10,000 miles ago .
Not too bad ….
But in 1981

I rebuilt the petcocks with a kit , one was x treaded and it only has about 4 threads , but it came out and went in straight .Really well engineered tbh .
I’ve sent the carbs off for ultrasonic and vapour blasting … so crucial to be clean .
Engine block has improved with 0000 steel wool and mothers polish
I’m cleaning rather than polishing , I’m after a safe original runner .

I do hope Not .
Sounds like a lucky, couple with skilled escape from serious injury non of it caused by you .
Surely it’s a formality -

Not a fan of vapour blasting bike carbs as the sand gets stuck in the small orifices then is a pain to get out. Even ultrasonic doesn't get the stuff out.
Probably cheaper to find the bing carbs that someone else has had rebuilt...oh check out how the throttle cable is balanced as that does give issues if the cable pull isn't the same for either carb.

Here is a dilemma .
I think the roundels are original.
They have a (now) brown coating which I guess is old laquer?
Intégral for thé bikes look , and tbh they look tatty … should I change them ?

Did you go to the hospital?
Hope you feel better and have no lasting ill effects. Try and find video on the road if you can.

It’s a nice looking bike. Are the crash bars and the big red reflectors on the rear staying or going?
Hagon shrouded shocks would look good on it. -

Great looking bike.
Can't you pick off the brown lacquer?
I'd leave them bare or re-lacquer them, it's nice to keep the old patina'd originals.

Been having a lot of fun scooting around on the Honda recently.
Old men love it.

Ah man I'm sorry to hear this!! How are you feeling now? Have you had a chance to assess the damage on the bike and if it's salvageable?

Finally fitted the Yoshimura pipe after having it for about 5 years as I had to get a bung welded on it

Headset recommendations? I'd like group functionality and decent sound quality if possible as I'm pretty deaf at the best of times

I can strongly recommend the Motikom Mplus.

For that price, it’s silly not to.
Riding without them these days is a pain. Difficult to remove, but that’s just my ear shape. I can’t imagine doing miles without them anymore.

Didn't even see the price. At that rate, I'm tempted to buy a second one for redundancy / when my wife eventually gets back on the back of my bike.
Thanks. Got some aches in my arms and back, and knee feels a bit weird. Overall in line with a hard jolt forward and tensing. Neck isn’t awful, but my arms definitely took some pressure by the feel of it.
Claim has been sent to 3rd party, 15 working days wait to see if they accept liability. I could be the 1 in 10 that gets stitched up even though it was a rear-ender.
